A possibility since it seems to be heat related. To check this when it starts doing this put some ice on the cone and see if it stops doing it for a little bit.Probably wrong, BUT, my pit did exactly what you’re describing and it ended up being the ignition module. Just a thought! Good luck with the bike
on my BikeNew user signed up yesterday - what bike? - what engine? E-carb gives some hints. 2005 117? You stated that you or someone else replaced the throttle cable and made all the adjustments. What adjustments? If only the throttle cable was changed no adjustments were necessary other than cable tension. What else was adjusted. I would start there. If the mixture screw was adjusted, then Iightly turn it to bottom it out and count the turns. 1 - 1.75 is common. Open back up to where it was. If less than 1 turn try opening 1/4 turn. If more than 1.75 try closing 1/4 turn. Always warm the engine first. If one of the adjustments improves the situation you are on the right track. There are some good vids on youtube on adjusting S&S carbs.
Could be the Cam sensor getting hot and causing it to not fire correctlyI apologize for the lack of info on my Bike. She is a 97 Softail Custom with an Evo Motor.
