I just looked and didnt see that he did it. I very sure it was Gas. He had the step by step and BS he had to go through.

What do you need to know? You have an 04 I see so are you keeping the stock ignition and ignition switch? Pretty basic install. The problems that could arise would be the spacing issue with the frame and motor mount, second would be a clearance issue with the ignition switch and the coil bracket. If you are still using the dual fire ignition then you'll need to make up 2 jumper wires.

No, Gas relocated the ignition switch and made a custom plate with the coils infront of it. :bang:

Speaking of the ignition switch. I heard you can remove the plate on the side of the starter and install a button there that you push to start the bike. have yall heard of this?

Korn... it was in my phoenix thread. It was in the first bit of the tear down. I had some fitment issues with the spacing of the motor mount to the frame and more so with the keyhole on the coil mount to the motor mount.

Solenoid housing switch (slam starter switch). Yup got one and used it too when my starter went click click click.

Yeh Gas I was. Thanx to you guys, I found it. I want to thank you for being so specefic on your how to's. I want that duel coil set up, and im thinking about makeing all the plates myself on the CNC. Arn't those about a 1/4'' thick? Are those coils made out of metal or a hard rubber? I was wanting to chrome my coils.

The coils are metal and I don't think you can chrome them. however you can get the plastic covers for them... maybe get those chromed.

And I think the metal is a bit thicker... 3/8 maybe...

Chrome paint may work on the coils. You can get it at most auto parts stores. Just make sure the coils are as clean as possible and use a dark primer.
