Just my two cents. Change slow jet. Check throttle cable adjustment (too tight and no slack). Clutch cable adjustment.

I adjust it, but keep doing the same.
and like gordon said ming has done the same thing from day 1 . but only at real slow speed 2 - 7 MPH.

what?

just curious.................ever since i removed the baffles from the stock exhaust, my dog has been doin this. 1st and 2nd its almost like engine braking...herky-jerky at low speed and idle.
i gotta keep the rpms higher for a smoother ride. higher gears no problem.

You gotta keep the rpms above 1000. If you lug it its gonna do this. If everything is adjusted and carb tuned correctly you should be good to go. If you just want a new carb, go for it.:job:

you right bill, exactly what you said

If that is it. then i think its more of a compression issue..maybe need to adjust your carb.
prior to the baffle removal i didn't have the issues at low speed............the lugging would happen at real low rpms and it went away with a smooth twist of the throttle. also from first to second was smooth.

after the baffle removal. first and second is almost like popping the clutch when i twist the throttle. totally different response to throttle twist. like the bike lurches forward in first. and then engine brakes as soon as you let off the gas.

I look forward to getting out of the low gears. the only positive is the sound of the exhaust when i cruise at low speeds because it sounds like i've got a jake brake.
