I've had a lot of issues with my bike like 10 speedo's, 9 starters and other things but nothing pissed me off more than loosing my very nice gas cap Friday during the POW/MIA ride.
See's I didn't have a good contact with the epoxy with I put the new thread save in. I've changed it out many times over the last couple years that I've had it but for the long rides I've always put my stock cap back in. Guess I figured someone would take off with my fancy Covington gas cap.
Anyway, riding home I get hit with something on my leg and I'm wondering what it was. First thought my MP3 player fell off my neck but I still had music in my ears!
I soon start smelling gas very stongly and look down and see everything gone, cap and thread adapter.
Boy that thing was expensive

Guess it's time for one of Jakes caps since I still have my original thread saver. Just didn't need the added expense now but that's life.
Ok, bitching over
