Cams... 585 vs. 600 vs Other

I’m running 585 in my 08 Ridgeback. Which now it givin me another problem, unable to stay in my seat. Need to make small backrest to keep my butt in the saddle

If it hasn't been posted before, your stock BD valve springs won't work with the .600" cam.

.585 1st gear will pull my front wheel up or spin the tire lots and lots of torque. My shop is at the end of gravel driveway I have to be careful twisting throttle while on it.

Just squeeze your butt cheeks a little tighter.

John, I have heard the '05 and '06 (when BDM was assembling their own motors) have the red stripe triple springs rated for .640 or something like that. Have you seen these in your shop or is this BS?

I've had maybe 2 sets of heads in with the good springs. 2nd owner bikes. Primarily I posted as a warning to never take things for granted when not sure. Retainers with the holes, are dangerous as well, even with stock springs.

How is the lope with this cam?? I had a woods cam in my harley with a 110 and loved it
