Does anyone know what thread bolt I need to remove a one piece cam cover on an 08 K9? I saw Bowhunters thread about removing the cover with two largers bolts but I can't seem to find the right bolt laying around. Any help would be appreciated.

The service manual calls out two bolt sizes 1/4-20 x 1-1/2" and 1/4-20 x 1-1/4"

I think the 1/4-20 bolts you are reffering to are hold the cover on. After removing these cover bolts you install two larger ones to remove cover, as shown in Bowhunters 585 cam install pics. Correct me if I am wrong.

I didn't look at Bow Hunters post but after removing the 1/4" bolt the cam cover/ nose cone on my bike came off farily easy. Didn't need a puller. Mine is a 08 which has the one pc cover. Not a ignition cone style cover.

Sorry I don't know the thread and size for the bolts, I was lucky enough to have a couple in my Big Dog drawer of my toolbox left over from my '99 Bulldog. But as V said, the cover comes off fairly easy after removing the bolts, the larger bolts just aid in breaking the seal. Be sure to collapse the pushrods with no pressure on the lifters prior to removing the cover.
