Raywood... new to the site and posted a few times. I posted a question about front forks on the technical forum and see that it has been looked at a number of times with no response. did I ask the question wrong or is there a setting on this site that is not allowing a response. thanks.....FB

FB, you posted it properly but I think it's just that you have an old Dog and not many of them around here so most probably don't know what your forks are on your 01. Was a rumor that back a few years ago they used Mean Street parts but don't know exactly what years.

Try sending a PM to Dogvet. He is our resident expert and former employee of BDM. He will be able to answer your question.

You might find out that you have a standard HD style front end. But as we get to newer models BDM started making their own stuff in house.

Good luck,
Ray

If you are speaking of the "avatar" then you select the picture you want and make it into an avatar 150x150 pixels and go to your profile and set it up.
Easier to upload the picture to Photobucket and link it over.

Yell if you have problems and I can do it for you if you send me the picture you want.

Later,
Ray

SIICK!!!
Chopper Dave how do like the plasma bulb and was it easy to find?
I like the light better than the stock H-4....here look in Gas Man's thread....he has a linky for the PIAA bulb...I bought mine from the same place as he did....was cheaper to buy the 2 pack than 1 .....I also bought his Adjure Tri-Bar Black Dot off of him last year...so I am running that exact same set up now...with the PIAA GTX Plasma bulb...

Putting this in this forum to get the attention of new members.

On the home page we have 894 registered members but if you go to the members list it only shows 584! The reason is you don't really become a full member till you make one simple post.

So, all you 310 missing members come on in and introduce yourselves and pin yourself on our map and enjoy the comraderie here.

We want you as active members. :2thumbs:

Thanks,
Ray

Ray, Since you wrote this just over a year ago, I see today where we have 1000 active members. Sounds like a good reason to celebrate!:cheers: I've only been here since March '09 but a day doesn't pass where I don't see someone new signing up. Cheers everyone!:cheers:

Well then lets update this thread.

Today we have 1641 active members of the 2984 signed on. So just over 50% are active here.
Lets put out a welcome to those that haven't made their first post.
Again the difference is if you sign on here you don't show up as a member under the members list till you make a single post. So all new members introduce yourselves in the "Intro" section.

Welcome to all new members.

Kudos to all the Big Dog Biker Forum members and administrators!
Great website forum!:2thumbs:

Big Dog should make all their new buyers aware of this site when they buy a new bike and register it. I've seen Big Dog's FaceBook page and am a fan, but unfortunately it looks like a number of people are writing in and using it as a "bitch" session Forum.

At least here there's positive feedback, with good advice, answers and ideas...most of the time, anyway!
