Buying a K-9

I am planing on buying a K-9 in the next couple days. I have been reading some of the Threads on reliability. I was wondering what kind of problems the 06 K-9s are having. I am looking at 2 2006 and 1 2007 year models. What are the differences and does BDM have the bugs worked outon the 07and 08? I also have a good deal found on a 2008. One of the 06 bikes is my favorite (Black with flames). My 04 Chopper DT never gave me any trouble other than a squeeky belt and a tach that never worked so I don't know what kind of problems to expect.

I would appreciate any feedback Before I Buy

with the 07 k9 thay can just "flash software "for ech. problums,
all will have speedo fog.
07 has no clamps on the down tube. "looks cleaner"

the 06's have TP rocker boxes that have been giving lots of people problems.

also, the struts on the '07 are chromed instead of polished. side note on the struts, later in '07 came standard with the mounts for the sissy bars. rarely did an '07 have a problem with the VR. on all of them, check for cracked side covers and see if the strut bolt recall was done. :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

havent had any problem with my 06, but make sure what ever you get that all the recalls and warrenty items are fixed. including gettin the S&S rocker boxs installed.

no problems so far with my 07 at almost 5,000 miles

06 K9 Only had one problem with a broken pin in a JST connector (to starter) It took me longer to find than to fix.

Yes, I bought a new 08 K-9 a 4 weeks ago. It has been sitting in front of my desk waiting for the Doc to give me the ok to ride. I finally got to put 300 miles on it last week end and 200 this week end. I got all my accessories in and installed last week. Both my wife and I love the bike. It is solid black, no graffics. But the front fender started peeling yesterday so I will have to get that fixed. Thanks for keeping up and asking about the bike.
