Buying a dog and having shipped

Hey everyone I have a question. Has anyone ever bought a new big dog from another state and had it shipped to you home? I noticed a lot of great deals on new big dogs but they are always in another State. Since I live in Texas I think the dealers don't give as good deals because we have longer warm weather. Which in turn more time to ride. Just want to know what your experience has been if you did have a new bike shipped to you. I stress these are new bikes I would never buy a used bike without looking it over myself. I would assume if you buy a bike from another state then you can have warranty work done at a local dealership.

Mine's was from Wilmington, NC. Had it shipped by Motorcycle Shipping: ID Transport a motorcycle carrier shipping company No complaints.

But shipped from Floriday to Idaho.
