I'm using one a friend gave me for a 2004 ridgeback on my 2007 k-9. I hear about riders losing them but I never had a problem. The have suction cups which hold well to the fender.

Sorry, Been riding recently and yes, if it makes her happy to ride, go for it, it will pay off at night :>). Been too hot here to ride for about 2 months with no rain and 100+ temps. Recently has cooled down some in mornings, Yes, pulled out the Butty Buddy yesterday and rode.
BB stays on with suction cups, no problem with it coming off.
Headed to Hill Country at end of this month. Time to hit the 3 sisters.

A tough looking group of bikers were riding when they saw a girl about to jump off a bridge, so they stopped.
The leader, a big burly man, gets off his bike and says, "What are you doing?" "I'm going to commit suicide," she says.
While he did not want to appear insensitive, he didn't want to miss an opportunity so he asked... "Well, before you jump, why don't you give me a kiss?"
So she does... And it was a long, deep, lingering kiss.
After she's finished, the biker says, "Wow! That was the best kiss I have ever had! That's a real talent you are wasting. You could be famous. Why are you committing suicide?"

It may work well with the suction cups on a bare fender,but I tried one on my hog a couple yrs ago on a 2-up seat and the "plastic posts" that keep it from moving sideways actually wore a hole in the side of the seat.The "company" actually blamed me for using it on a seat not meant for the BB.The seat I used it on was actually a HD seat they had it pictured on in their site.Assholes!
