Burning the inside of right leg....

Energy One

Hi all, picked up my 07 K9 yesterday and did a nice 200 mile ride to get to know her better. The only problem is I kept burning the inside of my right thigh on the corner of the head. To be honest I'm a bigger guy 6'2" and 350 and yes I know loosing weight would help! But I'm wondering if anyone else has had the issue and what tricks or fixes you used??

Thanks, Brandon

They make different seat and peg configurations, to set you forward or back, to find the best fit for you on the bike.

Try sitting on a gel pack. See if that boost you up enough.
Thanks, I'll look into that! I did another 100 plus miles today and made sure I sat back as far as possible in the seat and that helped much!

Thanks! How do you do that? Do you use photobucket or something similar?

quit wearing shorts.
No shorts, had long pants on!

You definitely need forward control extensions... some tall guys went to 4-5 inch extensions. I am 6' and had to install the 3" ones.... one of the best mods!

Several Threads on this subject, look around.

Looks like you have a "push forward" seat. Maybe the stock "regular" seat would also help?

Hummm.... it does not look like a push-forward seat to me....

Could you post some more (side) pics of the bike?

I am wondering if the previous owner already swapped the pegs (some shorter guys go the other way around and instead of extensions they install shorter adapters).

Put an oil pressure gauge off the head and that will hold your leg off further. I have burned my leg enough times that the burnt area of skin has turned into leather.
Pants or shorts don't matter unless your shorts are Daisy Dukes.
