Interesting. I'll run down now and take a pic of them so you know what you are looking at. The shocks are wrinkle finished from the factory!

Yeah, that's what Tim at WP said as well. I mean, they look nice painted and all, but I'm kind of an OEM fanatic.:)

BTW, all of you guys are great, this site is the TITS!

hey jus looked at my owners manual. i have instructions on adjusting ride height.....
Just wondering if this pertains to all models. They may be referring to the air-ride or another model like the Bulldog that may have had adjustable shocks.

im not sure ?.. what pic shows is what i have... when i first got bike (4000 Miles on it) i could hardley ride it off the dealer lot it was so low. dragged comin out parking lot. i got it back to place we were staying at and adjusted ride height at least 2 inches higher... i assumed then as i do now that it came this way...

Sounds like the previous owner put different shocks on it to lower it. :D

Here they are taken by looking up under the rear fender up behind the battery box (your oil tank on your bike).

just to be clear w everyone- the adjustment i have is on shock length.... DOES NOT offer stiffer or softer settings . the rear mount of shock has a jam nut.. the nut can be loosened and the rear ward mount is threaded to make shock shorter or longer..

Yes, thats the way they all are for the softails. :2thumbs:

i dont know Ray.. it is what shows in my manual.... our buddy at Big Dog told me 04 was bastard year.. maybe thats why...

Ha ha, to much rain here and it's pouring now. Hard to keep it clean so just ride!!! :2thumbs:
