I guess I’ll be doing the same. When I squeezed the rubber crossover tube when I had the issue it sounded crunchy. That was a few years ago. I looked on a few other sites (HD) etc and saw similar issues so it’s not isolated to BigDog. Anyone know what vendor supplied BD with the raw materials. I ask because in Pharma there can be lot to lot variability with incoming raw materials and certainly when switching vendors. Or is it just flawed technique of sealing overall.

I think your better off without the tank liner, the tanks are pressure tested to 10psi. Some will tell you the liner is to seal any pin holes in the welds, :oldhardlaugh:that's hilarious. The ethanol in the gas is nasty stuff I add Sta-bil over the winter, you can also use Sea foam. I just sold a car that was 37 years old and the tank material wasn't near as thick as the material used on the BD tank and it wasn't lined and it never leaked. I believe having a liner its a lot of hype.
