Broken peg bands

Energy One
Thought I'd throw this out to everyone just in case someone was having the same problem I had with a broken rubber band on my 2003 BDM Chopper footpegs. I looked everywhere and couldn't find replacements.

On eBay one day I found some 7/8 I.D. O-rings from Au-ve-co Products, a company out of Cold Spring, KY. They're the perfect size to slip over the pegs and seat in the groove where the bands used to sit. Five bands fit perfectly in each of the three slots, so after replacing the bands on both pegs, I also have 20 spares.

So far, they've been really durable and look great. Au-ve-co stock number is 4321 and I bought a box of 50 for around 6 bucks -- hard to beat.

Ride safe and watch out for the minivans and Volvos!

WSW also makes them but we make them from high grade silicone for abrasion, cut, oil, fuel etc resistance so they aren't quite that cheap. We make ours a little thicker also for better traction.
