Has anyone else had and problems with their PLASTIC oil tank cover breaking. I went to get on my dog yesterday and it had broken along the back rubber gromet. Any solutions? Worried about getting the paint to match if I replace it. Had to super glue it to get home.:bang:

been a on going problem for a while, contact your dealer to see it thay will warrenty it,, lots of members had it covered from what I understand,, does yous mount with the push pins? I think those had the problems.. my bad maybe the pins were the fix... anyone know if the newer mounts fixed the problem, mine look like a grid of egg crate meteral epoxed to inside covers, bolts on top

just glued mine two nights ago on the left side. done the right side in August. gorilla glue does the job with a sliver of metal across the crack to add cross strength.....

Go see your dealer and get the updated fix for these. The bolts have been replaced by push-pins and there are many examples here if you search it out.

BDM will most likely replace your covers and give you the updated pins.

Big Dog replaced my side cover back in May and replaced the bolts with rubber grommets and push pins. No Charge
