Broken Clutch Cable

I went out for a ride this weekend and on the way home my clutch cable broke and I was forced to limp the dog home. Thanks to this website I learned that Barnett Cables had repaired cables in the past for free if the broken one was sent in. The threads listing the free repair by Barnett were relatively old so I called Barnett to inquire if they still repair for free and was pleased to hear "yes". I will be sending the cable in for repair. The the cable broke at the ferrel where it attaches to the ball ramp assembly.

Mine broke last year at the same spot....Good news is it broke as I was pulling into my street and I could shut it down in the drive way.

Good news for you, not so lucky for me.
If mine breaks it would be a big challange to ride it home, i live on the side of a cliff and the town i live in has hills everywhere, round abouts, stop lights on hills.

However i did manage to get a spare cable out of a bargin bin at the local HD dealer, a 68" heavy duty clutch cable for $15.
