No, that’s way too cheap for a top end rebuild plus a throttle cable. You got a steal with that price.
Yes, while not absolutely necessary, it’s better for the engine for both cylinders to be freshened up at the same time. I don’t know anyone who would just do one.
And just doing one would probably cost at least 75% of doing both, and then you would need to do the other one real soon anyway.

Thanks guys damn glad to have L.E.#78 rolling again........and as my luck would have it...... got the bike back in action.......then it rained for a week.....and then I got sent to North Dakota for five weeks.
WHAT HAVE I DONE TO ANGER THE MOTORCYCLE GODS. :bang:
At least I got off relatively cheap and the rainy weekend before being banished to the North allowed me plenty of polish and scrub time. #78 be looking good for my return in a month.
In the meanwhile lots of hotel BDB time! :2thumbs:

I had both exhaust valve guides wear out on mine at 7000 mi. one of the exhaust valves was even bent. I got lucky and pulled it apart before the valve broke and wrecked the whole thing. At the time I had TP rocker boxes, my ridgeback started ticking loud from about 1500 miles and I new it wasnt a valve adjustment.
I did all the R&R and my machine work was around $500.00 (with a gasket set, two new valves, guides, and seals. I think they really hooked you up and thats great. I'm curious as to which rocker boxes you have?
