Got into Sturgis on Thursday with no problems ,no sooner did I get to town and my ignition(key)switch crapped out, managed to keep it running long enough to get it to J&P cycle on Friday morning, they installed a new swtch and everything worked fine all day Friday, then Friday night when leaving the full throttle saloon the starter wouldn't engage,I pulled the seat and found a wire burned into, when I reattached the wire to the battery the starter engaged on it,s on with both ignition and run switch in off position. In order to get through the weekend I installed a push button switch between the battery and the wire so I could at least start it,and had my wife bring a trailer to Sturgis to transport it home, but still need help with diagnosis of what the problem may be,is it related to the key switch J&P installed or something totally different? any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks I'll check it over again this evening after work, does it ground to the frame somewhere,or to the Battery
On your bike, with the start module, it grounds through the start module which has a ground to the battery so it likely has lost its ground through the start module.

I've checked the start module ground but will do so again, what is the purpose of the small green wire coming from the start module,do I need to replace the start module?if so where do I find one
