Anyone know if these are breathers and do they need maintence ?? Cool looking jugs front and rear of carb. Mine alway have a little oil on the bottoms. Do they have a filter in them??

They do have filters in them but on mine the blew oil all over the bike. I removed that setup because of that
Do they just unscrew? If they have filters it would not surprise me they are still the same ones from 2004. I would like to just replace with new clean one for now. What setup do you go with? If you just plugged them that is not good engines should have some sore of breather. If not pressure can build up and blow out seals. Thanks for the info.

I just removed the entire breather and would wash it in warm soapy water and rinse let it dry and re install.
