Brake Rotors

I've read throughout the forum but never found specific answers to the question about replacement Front and Rear brake rotors. My bike is a 1999 Bulldog that has what looks like a 2 piece floater even though the rotor hub matches the rim design and if i can't find a new outer piece (screwed together type - not riveted) I'm not opposed to replacing the entire assembly. The problem is I have no idea of what is available; can someone help in this area?

Dave,I think my 2000 Prosport has the same rotors on it.I think they were from performance machine. I have been trying to find stainless steel replacements for mine and not having much luck.Hopefully This thread might bring us some information.

Measure the id bore and od and you might find some to match at the local Harley shop, or some of the major wheel makers.

My design has been completely phased out. But PM mentioned if i wanted to look on their website and see a design i like they should be able to get them to work. Choosing a new design certainly will take some time!

Typical motorcycle parts distributors mentioned a similar year make Harley would probably work. Others said not available, my quest continues!

Yup same bullshit I got from them. I don't understand why these rotors can't be digitized and cut out of a plate of stainless.

Well sweet mary & joseph i found a replacement rotor! As we speak she’s on her way! I wonder if there would be a market for replicating the part.

Where did you find it? Do they have anymore
He only had the one part. The advertised part was ambiguous. It’s in the original unused package; we will have the correct information to track/search using the old/discontinued part number – you should also track down the name of the hub. I should have the part in a couple of days, the bike is coming apart shortly to replace the tires and will confirm the form fit function and report my findings.

I have the disc in hand! Manufactured by PM, it does have a Break in Procedure for disc with Zinc coating: Use light to medium brake pressure until the zinc is worn off in brake pad area of disc. Remove pads from caliper and clean any zinc build up using 60-80 grit sandpaper against a flat surface. Re-install brake pads and use in normal manner.

Part number label is long gone but it looks like someone had written in ink the part number on the back side of the package!

Way to go bigdogpartsking!

Since I bought my Prosport a year ago I have always hated the iron disc brake rotors. I called Performance machine and was told they were outdated and I would have to buy new centers that would not match my wheels. Thanks a lot for not supporting your customers PM! And why did BDM put this shit on a custom bike any way?

I called Bigdogpartsking and low and behold the exact same part number with an S behind it for stainless steel in my hands a couple of days later! All I need to do is switch the rotor over to my chrome center. Another Bigdogpartsking happy customer!

Looks great! I bought the SS rear rotor assembly from shovel kicker but they didn't have the front 13". What part number did you use for the front and what price did they give you? Thanks
