Brake pad retainer clip

Blacktopper and I went up to KC the other day and wound up riding a couple of hours in the rain. I was cleaning my rear wheel/caliper, and I heard a rattle. Well nothing back there is supposed rattle, so I searched for a while and found that the little spring-type retaining clip for the brake pads had broken and was flopping around. I got online and couldn’t find the clip unless I also purchased a set of brake pads which I don’t need, all the while cursing the ones I’ve thrown out across the years—(even tho wifey accuses me of being a parts hoarder).
Anybody know where to get some of those clips?

So question, did your spring actually break or is there another issue? The reason I ask is because I've found 4 "broke" on my 06 mastiff. The only thing is once really getting into it I realized that my rotor is actually rubbing mine and eventually eating thru this spring. Not the whole rotor touches it though. Its only at certain points while the tire spins does it rub. Almost like my rotor is out of round. I'll try to attach an video but I need to correct the format. Donna and Derik have the whole rotor in stock for 299 or just the floating part for 199. Been trying to figure out tho if I need to replace the whole thing or just the outer part or is there another issue.

Those anti-rattle clips are for squid ears. Cry if you want, but I chuck those on any of my bikes. I rather they float and rattle. At least I know they are loose and not rubbing down against the disc. Also shows the brake pistons can move back and away from the pads.

When they don't rattle I worry the pistons are stuck.

My issue was that tthe end of the spring that wraps over the pad somehow snapped (see below). If your rotor is making contact and actually grinding the retainer clip, Is it possible that the pin securing the clip has somehow wallowed out and allowed the spring to drop enough to contact the edge of the rotor?

I break at least 1 a year, sometimes 2
