Brake Pad replacement

How many miles do most people get on their 1st set of brake pads. My 2008 Mastiff has nearly 5,000 miles on it and was wondering if it was about ready for new pads.

I have been getting around 10,000 0n the rear of my K-9. Just put my second set on last summer at 21,000

That depends on how you ride, do you brake with the brakes or down shift? Do you use both brakes or just one of them when stopping?

Just look at them and see if there's any pad left to them, change them if your down at 1/16"

I ride hard, I went to PM for my pads both front and rear. I got 8-9000 on the their pads, I got about 50% left, love em.

I never stop. So mine last forever!

My front pads wear about twice as fast as the rear .
Hardly use the rear until I'm almost stopped.
Bigdog has about 3k since the pads were replaced ,
my Fatboy has 18k
