brake line extension

bought the 2.5 extension kit for the front pegs. kit stated it came complete but i didnt get the piece that extends the rear brake line. i believe its just a metal piece that connects near the master cylinder. not enough slake and dont know a thing about brake lines. anyone know where i can get a piece that would work? are brake line fittings universal? do i need to buy a whole new brake line that is 3 inchs longer? if so, where can i get brake lines for Big Dogs? Thanks again for the help.

I had enough slack in my brake lines so I did not need to use the brake line piece that came with the kit for my 06 Mastiff. Let me know if you want the piece.

On my 06 K9, I added the forward extensions and also had plenty of slack. I think I've still got the extension piece somewhere..:flag:

I have 6 in. extenisions on my K9 and I just went to a brake and hydro. hose company and had one made up took just a second and under 20 bucks.

Thanks guys. Stephen is gunna ship me one that he had left over. I had only about 1/4 inch of slack left in the brake line. Keep those extensions close by if Stephens won't work on mine. I'll let y'all know when I find out. Went riding tonight with the left peg extended and the right peg was still at stock length. It was weird feeling. My wife was laughing the while time. We decided that if anyone asked I was gunna tell them my left leg was longer. Didn't have too tho. Didn't make any stops. Except the 3 times the scoot stopped running. That's a whole other story tho.

Do any of you have a brake line extension available? I just put on the DM Custom machine 3 inch extensions. I was able to make it fit but that line is TIGHT and now my Speedo light wont come on. I will pay for whatever the cost is.....thanks.

I have one from BDM that I was going to install on my nephews chopper some time ago, he sold the dog and it's been sitting on my work bench ever since. I don't remember what they go for at BDM ($379.00 I think) but I will let it go for 1/2 or best offer of what they cost. The one I have came with two plates, one shift Rod and I think it has the brake extension too, but not sure. If you are interested let me know and I'll send you some pictures when I get home.

I got my extension from the local harley dealer. I think it was $18.00.

I was talking about the whole kit. I have the whole kit with brake extension, shift linkage and extension plates (3"). Sorry for not explaining in detail.

BTW you can get the rear brake line extensions from BDM Performance Parts. They run about 18.00 bucks

Thanks Carlos but Santa (my wonderful girlfriend) got me the 3" kit for Christmas from DM, picking up an extension from a local custom shop. Now you would make my day if you were to have a 18" sissy bar that would fit my Mastiff. Seems one would have better luck winning the lottery.
