The rear brake lever goes halfway down before pads engage. Losing lots of fluid on the rear end and the anti rattle spring looks mangled.

Looks like you need to replace the rear brake pads and or rotors. The fluid leak is more than likely brake fluid. If you don't know how to fix it especially brake pads and rebuilding the calipers and possibly rear master cylinder, I would take it to a motorcycle shop and have the parts replaced and bleed the brakes system. If you are going to do the rear you might as well do the front too. Stop riding, don't take a chance and wreck your bike and even cause injury to yourself or passengers should the brakes fail you more than they already have.

Caliper is probably needing to be rebuilt. Pretty sure bigdogpartskingpin has the rebuild kits. Then DOT 5 ONLY fluid.
Yes time for a rebuild.

Very easy to replace the seals. Blow the pistons out with compressed air, reinsert with new seals by hand.

You need to rebuild that caliper -- NOW.
It would appear that pistoons on one side are stuck and not moving properly.
Rebuild is pretty easy to do yourself.

Probably won't do it myself but definitely getting it fixed ASAP. Don't want the next thread to be pics of my injuries!

rebuild is easy and you know right away whether its ok or not -- When you remount and bleed the brakes they hold or not -- come out next day and make sure they still hold -- then you're good to go.

Since several ppl said its pretty easy, I decided to do it myself. Got the pads off, opened the caliper & one side went smooth. Cleaned & replaced the o-rings with no problem. Other side looks like one of the pistons is damaged & I can't get either one out. Thoughts on getting it out or am I doomed?

I would first soak it in a cleaning solution. The clean around the pistons area edges. Use PB blaster or another spray. They don't look damaged just very dirty and stuck. If you can, use compressed air to try and move them.

this is a classic example of why when rebuilding a caliper you should move the pistons out with compressed air evenly before breaking them apart -- MY BAD for forgetting to mention that!

Finally got them out, cleaned, new seals, new pads, caliper polished & everythings back on the bike. Bleeding lines tomorrow & we'll see what's up.

No resistance on the pedal. Nothing flowing. Fluid reservoir is full. From the other threads I've researched, it looks like it's master cylinder rebuild time. Any other ideas?

That would be the 1st thing on the list. I had a hell of a time bleeding the rear brakes on a friend’s’06 Chopper. That was after rebuilding the master cylinder. Was the craziest thing ever. I remember it took a minute before we got it to finally hold pressure. Good luck! Git ‘er Done
It may take some time to get all the air out.
