Boxer vs Vintage Sport

I'm looking into buying another dog. My goal is to buy something I can make into a road-trippin big dog bagger, years 2000-2003. I'm looking at starting with a Vintage Sport or a Boxer? Your opinions please!

I saw a Vintage Light with hard bags mounted while surfing Ebay a couple of years ago. I just bought a 1999 Vintage Classic to build into a bagger myself.
I've already begun replacing the ape's with more traditional bars.
