Boxer hi-speed weave

Any body experience a high speed weave on a 2003 Boxer? I have been caught a few times with spooky weaving of motorcycle on highway. Grooves appear to initiate problem. Seems to tone itself down with wife on back. Have changed rear tire, adjusted shocks many times and stiffened up swing arm rubber bushings with Polyurethane ones. Helped some but doesn't go completely away. Anybody have any insight into problem or a solution. Thanks for any help you can provide.

My wife's Coyote does this at around 110mph; I told her not to exceed 110mph for the time being....Sorry, I haven't had time to worry about it, but I suspect neck bearing / fall out setting. This I do know, her bearings aren't worn out, nor are her tires - well, because with 3 bikes I simply haven't had time to put 1k miles on that one yet - :D

I wish I had more money.
Im with Purple on this one. I had the issue on an 03 mastiff and checked the fall and it was loose. Tightened it a bit and all is good.

Initially happened around 55 mph. Now it has moved up to between 65-75 mph. Original dealer played around with the triple tree tightness and factory had bike for a month just before warranty was out. Sent it back with comment "problem is solved" comment. Long story short, doesn't do it as much with all that was done and happens at higher speed now. Bearings checked at factory. Tire changed at factory. This is a bike with about 7000 miles on it.

What year or time frame was this stuff checked (03 bike, with work done in warranty period)? Are you asserting that your current fall-away is within specified tolerance or not? Are you looking for other suggestions because you believe that 'played around with the triple tree tightness" means that it was checked properly or you otherwise don't believe this as a possibility or?

The amount of miles on your bike has little to do with neck bearing pre-load of course. :confused:

Jim, I'm going to have to plead ignorance and am not a mechanic. I have never heard of fall or fall-away. You'll have to educate me. The problem has been ongoing since new and any changes the dealer or I have made just seem to move the problem in the mph range. Was initially scary, but now tolerable and slightly spooky, but not preferred. Don't ride the bike much at high speed because of the problem, mostly short city trips. This was all done in the 2003 to 2005 time frame. Most of the miles put on then, few miles since. Now bike is down with electrical problem but thought I would ask for some suggestions since I found this forum so informative.
