Bolt caps - chrome bolts

Does anyone know if the HD chrome bolt package or bolt hole covers would work on our bikes? Or is there any info available for the bolts on the engine? Looking to either replace some bolts with chrome ones or just add covers to them.

been looking at Hot Toppers myself. Am going o go to dealer and buy individual covers for rocker box, primary, brake caliper, etc...Wish they would make a S&S 117 , and baker six speed tranny starter kit.

I don't have too much luck with the Hot Toppers on the smooth socket head bolts. I stuck them on my rocker box bolts and half of them fell off. I don't like gooping them up with silicone so I took the remaining ones off. JMO

if your thinking of going with chrome bolts you might as well get stainless steel as they will last forever. Won't chip, peel or rust :up:

Oh no, not hot toppers! As bad as LED's! Stainless is fine for non critical bolts but it is not as strong and much more brittle than grade 8 chrome so be careful. At every oil change, I go over the bike with some fine steel wool and WD40, it very quickly cleans the rust outa the bolt heads and protects them.

Thanks for all the info. I should have mentioned I did look at the chrome bolts and plugs site first, but they didn't list any bike kits, like I was hoping to find. Something to make it easier and take the guess work out of. Thought stainless for some things, but as stated in one of the posts, not as strong for critcal areas.
