bogging with hard throttle

Can anyone tell me what might be the issue? My BD boggs down when I accelerate hard. It doesn't feel like slipping, it's almost like it's not getting enough fuel.

A few more details:
- 2008 Pitbull (carb version)
- runs fine unless I hit the throttle hard
- does it all the time (hot or cold, full or empty tank)
- was running fine until I took a long trip about a week ago
- someone suggested changing the spark plugs (but he's not very reliable). If that could be the case then any suggestions on best plugs to use?
- and YES, I did search the forums but most of the issues I came accross were with EFI's, bad gas or due to clutch slippage and I don't think those are my issues.

Thanks,
O

If you dont find it here in the how to section you go to the s/s site and get adjusting carb instructions there...

Yes defiantly sounds fuel related. Accelerator pump maybe, but I would also drop the fuel bowl on the bottom of the carb and look for debris. If any is found then clean your jets.

1. Check FUEL filter
2. Check plugs
3. Drain gas and replace, you do have 92 or up in it right.
3 easiest things to do first

If you have an aftermarket air filter you may want to make sure you removed the vent screw. I had the same problem until I did. The bike would bog down when I would hit the throttle.
