Blue idiot light/high beam light??

hey guys. My blue idiot light has been coming on and off but now it’s staying on. 2004 Mastiff 107 CI. Is this headlight related or?? I rode all day Saturday but at the end of the day it started Idling high?? Are these related?? Any help is much appreciated.

Are you running the old halogen beam? Do you still have high and low? I'd open up the bucket and look for crispy wires.

The blue light is your high beam indicator. If the blue stays on all the time it is usually because the low beam is burned out--the default is high beam. As Rick says in post #2, have a look at the wiring and then see if your low beam is burned out.
Many guys like to replace the stock one with an LED. Th3Infamous1 recommends the Sunpie (Daymaker) replacement, available on eBay for about $50. I bought one and love it.
No Idea about the idling high--usually a carb issue. There are how-to sticky threads on basic adjustment procedures.

I just installed one of these and I'm not overly impressed although it is a helluva lot quiter thaa the ones with the fan. Oh, i now have a number 8 setscrew in the beauty ring as a bonus

I've had all the ones available and this is by far the brightest if you don't like it be glad you didn't buy any of the other options you really woulda been disappointed

Thank you. Going to replace it. I’m missing a rubber plug off the carb. Going to fiddle with the adjustment screws on the carburetor. Thanks for your advice

Watch those rubber caps. They will dryrot and crack but look like new. Replace em with silicon caps and carry an extra set. Ive had them disappear at the worst times.
