Blinkers and taillights issues

Energy One
Hello, ok so I have a 2002 big dog pitbull hard tail that I'm having light issues with. A while back I was riding and a deer ran out in front of me and I wrecked the bike. When I ordered blinkers for front and back I got newer blinkers that are a 3 wire system when the ones I took off were a 2 wire system. I was told to ground the extra wire to the bike so I did. Now I have one brake light lit like my brake is on and melts my lense within 2 min if having the bike on and the other tail light is just running one filliment in the bulb. I have no blinkers front or back and my running lights/blinkers are on on the front but not blinking when blinker is hit. Idk. If it is because I went to a 3 wire light on all my blinkers or if it was something that happened in the wreck but any help with this issue would be life saving litterly. I can't seem to find anything online about the issue I'm having at all. Thank you in advance and may God bless all riders with the rubber side down.

Don't ground the 3rd wire.. it's a running light curcuit . Which wasn't used in 03 front lights, not sure about 02. You would simply not hook anything to the 3rd wire. With out a turn signal on the front amber lights don't light up. Those 3 wires are ground, run, and turn/brake. You should test these by hooking lights temporarily to a battery. Also with a test light check the wires on the bike itself. That will give you what wires to mate up. I know on my 03 the plug on the bike did not match the wire config of the lamp. I was lucky because the person basically doing this had a pin extractor and re configured the plug on bike to match the light wires order.

I see 02 used a common incandescent bulb and in 03 they started with LED . But the same wire config applies to both.
