Just wanted to give a little feedback on the service I recieved form Bikers Dream Atlanta. I had called them on Saturday at 1pm PST and talked to Lannie Holcomb in service/parts. Gave him the info on the parts I needed, and he called back shortly after with a final price that was a little on the high side. I called him back to double check the part numbers and he seemed to get pretty short on patience and told me to check my email and it will be on the invoice. Ok....hung up, checked the email, no invoice. Called back and they were closed. Got up early this morning just to call to verify I was getting the proper parts before they shipped and I'm glad I called. These were the parts/prices on my invoice. When I asked about the Tensioner Shoe, he said that's what Baker charges for just the shoe. So I canceled the primary Cover Oring and Shoe and can get them through my local dealer, ($10 for shoe, and $15 for primary Cover O-Ring). Lannie seemed pretty aggravated that I had called him back to verify and change my order. Luckily I called as soon as they opened so it didn't ship yet. Looks like I won't be going through them again and hope nobody else experiences what I did for customer service.

1 120-000045-00 GASKET, INSP COVER .060" $5.00
1 BDM110-00207 SEAL M/S LEFT SIDE $9.95
1 120-000005-00 O-RING PRIMARY COVER $24.95
1 123-000010-00 PRIMARY TENSIONER SHOE $49.95
1 122-000006-00 ASSY, THROWOUT BEARING $32.95

I have dealt with them plenty of times, yes they can be a little high price at times but hey, everybodies entitled one bad day. If they make it right, thats all that counts

I've really never price checked what I've purchased from them, so it may be true they are a little higher than some others but I've always gotten the right parts when I order from them and got it quick too!!

I guarantee you won't like their bike prices, let alone part prices. Two year old models at full retail. Heard them quoting "no wiggle room". Atlanta Harley dealers are no better thou. Must be the cost of living in the big city.

I also had a bad experience with them. I held up mentioning it on the site since at that time they were a sponser.

I won't buy anything from them nor recommend them to anyone.

I agree that everyone has a bad day but they still shouldn't take it out on the customer. Not trying to prevent others from buying from them, especially since our parts are hard to come by but I will be doing buisness elsewhere. Also, this post was not directed toward the higher than norm prices but the overall attitude of Lannie.

I would guess they are using "standard" industry mark up. They are not going to do anything more than buy the from BDPP and mark them up.

Can't believe $50 for the plastic shoe!!!!! I replaced mine a couple years ago and don't think I paid more than $10.
A lot of members on here really like them though and I think they still sponsor our site.

Hey Raywood, yup a little expensive but that wasn't the main problem. I think I even mentioned BigDogBiker.com to him too. Either way, this was the first time dealing with them and expected better customer service from the reviews on here. Oh well...I found most of the parts I needed from Baker and Strokers Dallas at a lower price and great customer service. To each thier own. :)

By the way, I called mutiple part sources and the lowest price I found for that shoe was $32 from Baker. Baker along with the others dealers said that once BD went out of buisiness, thier prices went through the roof. I just went and got a Drag Specialties shoe for $8, grinded down the corner like stock and it fits like a charm. See the link.

I had mine changed last fall at Black Label Choppers. Mechanic matched up an HD tensioner shoe and cut the notch in it like our BD shoe.

Kool, watch that Amy though :)

They haven't been a sponsor for a while. The only Dealership who sponsors our site is Fury.
Thanks Babe, I should have known that!!!! :spank:

Sometime back I got some side covers from them and dealt with Steve. Good communication, fair price, and fast ship.

However I must say that being the Cheap Bastard I am, I ALWAYS check around on price. I learned this lesson early in life when one building a house and one lumber yard wanted $27 for fifty pounds of nails and another only wanted $8! So guess who I bought from.:loony: If we always paid what was asked, prices would soon be sky high.

I always say a penny saved is a penny I can spend on something else I want.
