Billet Aluminum Wheels..oxidation?

So for the last few months, I had my bike on a deep covered porch, the bike was also covered, from time to time the wheels would get exposed, I've had it inside most of its life, so cleaning it has been fairly easy.
I had always thought I had chrome wheels, I am certain they are aluminum though, especially given what's happened to them. Got the bike home and went to clean it with my regular cleaning items, the wheels wouldn't come clean. There are what looks like (oxidation) or an alien virus (4 different products) that lightens but doesn't come off. I have tried just about everything and no luck at all. The rims have become shinny again but the marks remain? Any other tips/tricks or products to try? I do have zoot 1&2 and flitz on the way.

Are you using Mothers Billet? I use Mothers Billet then go over it with White Diamond.

May want to try wet sanding it first and then polishing it to the shine. Allot of work but it will bring back the shine

Also, giver Adams Polish a chance to bring out the shine to a chrome like look. It is a two step process.

Paul, wet sanding with what grit paper? I have used steel wool #0000 with the cleaners I have used so far to no avail.

Try mothers billet before sanding if sanding is necessary use a light paper like 2500 then buff up with compound and polish with mothers billet but again try mothers billet first before sanding

If I needed to use compound it would be the 3m marine compound and finishing material

The same stuff I can't find anywhere u use for polishing up the paint?

I have never had to buff mine out, but that polish lasts a while and there isn't a sealer/wax that I'm aware of for polished aluminum. I've got caught in the rain quite a bit and that'll dull them wheels out real quick. So if u don't wanna polish all the time, keep it dry. Lol

No the sealer will clog the pores of the aluminum ad cause it to dull use mothers waterless wash it won't strip the billet polish I also use a mini California duster to get dust off after every ride

Hey Japelfrey, that orange bike of Dentdude's is for sale at a very reasonable price and he has like a million hours in it just polishing and at the price he wants for it, it makes it a very cheap bike.
Your problems will be solved.
