If anyone is thinking about rv'ing at bbbq this year, here is a great place to stay. Just received this email today.
Greetings from Roadhog Park !!!
We are looking forward to another great Bikes, Blues, and Barbecue rally, and will start accepting site reservation deposits on June 1st. It's pretty much the same as in year's past, but one cautionary note: Last year, we filled up and had to turn away several folks, and judging from contacts I've had thus far, I foresee us being full much earlier this year. Even though you may have filled out one of our sheets last year, please understand that is not a reservation but is merely a means by which we can contact you, as in this email. So, to make a reservation, we must have your deposit in hand. Pricing is the same as last year---$50 per night with a three night minimum. We will need a check (please don't send cash, and we are not set up to take credit or debit cards) for $150 made out to Razorback Roadhogs. Please send your check to Razorback Roadhogs, 1159 West 15th Street, Fayetteville, AR 72701, and a receipt will be mailed to you as soon as your check is received. Many of you are returning visitors, so some of this may be old-hat to you, but I provide the following points for our first time visitors, and as a reminder to all:
* Self-contained RVs only. . Only motor homes, fifth-wheels, and bumper pull trailers. No tents are allowed, even if you also have a self-contained RV on site. We do not have toilet or shower facilities. We do have four dump stations for your use upon leaving, or while you're here if needed.
* All sites have 50x15 level concrete pads (with an approximately 15ft. paved apron in front of that), with both 30 and 50 amp service at each site, as well as water availability. We do not have a separate water hydrant for each site, but there is a hydrant within hose-length of each site, and we request that you fill your water tank and unhook. If you need to refill your water tank again, just repeat.
* All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, so, if there is any doubt as to whether you will be able to attend, keep that in mind.
* While we do our best to honor requests from those wanting a specific site, or wanting to be next to or near a friend on another site, we cannot guarantee that we can do so. I would guess we are able to honor over 90 % of such requests, but, not always. As each of our sites "belongs" to a Roadhog member, we generally do not know until September 1st or so which sites we will have available. (last year we had 27 members opt to pay the fee and stay on their own sites, thus those sites were not available to rent). The good news is that there is not a bad site in the park. We generally make site assignments the first week in September.
*If you are a smoker, we ask that you bring a coffee can with sand for cigarette butts so that the area does not become littered.
* If you want to arrive early in the week, that's fine. You may come as early as Monday if you want. Again, the rate is $50 per night. Time of arrival must be between 8:00 AM and 10 PM.
Please feel free to share this email with your motorcyclist friends, as we always get several emails returned due to folks changing email addresses, or because the email addresses left were not written legibly. We look forward to seeing old friends again, and to making new ones. Again, I would strongly suggest that you send your deposit as early as possible to ensure that you have a site. Please feel free to email me at this email address, roadhogpark.BBB@gmail.com, if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Bob Roten
