Out for a ride, not too hot, had maybe gone 25 miles. Was in 5th and pulled clutch to slow down before down shift and bike shut off. Released clutch and she fired back up. Did this twice yesterday , at the same situation, slowing down with clutch pulled. Bile is an 07, EFI with Wire plus. Rest of the day she ran fine. Any thoughts?

Make sure all connections to the battery terminals are clean and tight. Crimped connections must be good as well.

Do a search on the for EFI problems and some of my past threads on the matter.

Any tuning kits that might interfere?
Anything wired to the clutch like a kickstand safety switch? Is the switch loose [if applies]?
Anything happen lately like what was the last thing you did to the bike mod/repair wise?

See if you can recreate it in the garage or driveway by leaving the bike in neutral and after warming it up take it to some higher RPMs and hold it there. Then release the throttle and see if it dies. The clutch would have no effect on it but the rapid decent in throttle command might. Is there a check engine light on at all? If so it could be a TPS issue. Could be a fuel pump issue or an injector issue. One thing to keep in mind though is you will not have a speed input to the ECU so the IAC will be active and running while you try this and it might skew the results.

Thanks for the ideas. Checked all connection, gas cap vent( even loosened while riding due to this forum!) no problems. Tried to re-create in drive way, with no luck. The only lite that came on was the red "check engine light". As soon as I released the clutch in gear started up and light went out. I was thinking that I was going down a slight hill both times (tank full). Could this be a hint?

No hint to me. Full tank should be fine.

You are unclear with what happened in your last post. I assume you are revisiting the earlier engine die out episode.

I would guess that the CE light would turn on when the engine dies.

The check engine light can come on if the idle RPM is too low (below 800-900 or so).
Normal idle RPM is right near 1000RPM. The IAC will control this, as there is no idle adjustment screw on the EFI bikes.
If the IAC is getting weak or is getting a build up of carbon or other then the idle RPM can be affected. The IAC is a small stepper motor device that controls an air passageway in the idle circuit of the throttle body. Sometimes you can hear it reposition when you reconnect the battery cables.

Been to Hell Michigan! The light only came on when bike shut off. As soon as re-started it went out. Only time it has ever come on except when first starting the bike.
