I can put the bike on a charger it will run fine. after I ride for awhile then go to start it up won't start. POP start it runs fine no problem. What can this be. oh by the way its an 07 mastiff.

I would check the charging system. There's a detailed how to somewhere to check each component. Quick and dirty is to verify the battery first. Then start the bike and rev it up a little. If the voltage goes up, you're charging..

X2 I had the same problem about two years ago. While testing the charging system with my multimeter I cleaned all the connections. Turns out I had a bad connection at the VR. Been good ever since ! Good luck

Circuit breaker should be a small gray looking block on the inside of your left electrical cover. If your standing on the left side of the scoot pull the seat off it should be on the left side out side the battery box. There's a little black button on the aft side. Push it in, start the bike and take a reading. If it was poped you should now be reading near 14.0 VDC with the scoot running. If the circuit breaker wasn't popped, then you have a charging issue as the others have stated.

I did not charging stays at around 12.
I thought if it was the stator that it would stop running while riding.

Not always true. This was the stator housing in my old bike. The magnets were beat to shit and powdered almost. The coils were also burnt from arcing. But that was just enough to keep the bike running. When I shut it off, it would not restart.

The how to will help you dial in on exactly which component is faulty. Dont forget to clean / check all your battery connections and grounds. I just ordered the whole charging system and replaced at once. Easy to do...

I been reading thru posts all morning and this was the winner.in Sturgis this year I had a few problems I even missed the big dog ride due to a broke clutch cable. then I got stuck in a rain storm and rode thru it anyways. the next day my dog wouldn't start. well got home charge it ride for a bit then charge and ride for a bit. got a voltage regulator from carlos (stand up guy). still wont charge. well this thread fixed it 2007 k9 the circuit breaker is on the left side also but the rest is on bottom of it. all charging issues fixed.
feeling dumb for cutting my wires on my old voltage regulator taking it off. thank you guys
