Oh F..k yeah it's costly (shipping) too!! But I'm sick and tired of just looking at my bike and not riding it. I'll admit I tried everything on my custom factory chopper (add on's), so I lived and learned. NAMZ is going to hook me up straight and I promise never to screw with the freakin bike again!

KEEPIN IT SIMPLE/RELIABLE :2thumbs:

Your in great hands. Namz will hook you up big time. He really knows his stuff.:2thumbs:

Aspen Namz is a guy that does electrical wiring for bikes. He make his own harness and wires. Look him up on google. He is located in PA.

NAMZ . CUSTOM CYCLE PRODUCTS Jim is the owner and electrical wizzard for rewiring our BigDog's he has done plenty of our bikes already. Complete and simple rewiring, standard color wires, etc.

I'm having my stock bars kept so they (the bars) are going to be cut and plugged with 1" steel for stock controls. I think I'll be using PM controls. I'll be able to keep my Dakota speedo!

So far 3 circuit breakers and the self canceling turn module. I have 2 BD Handle bars that are being cut, plugged, welded and chromed for standard controls.

Oh man that is awesome, I really want to do that to my bike ..keep it simple and easy for us old schooler guys to understand and repair, even on the side of the road. I noticed that Mr.Wright re wired his bike also ..keep us posted and some pics would be great.

I did the re-wire long ago - I kept my bars also - only thing diff I used ends from a V Rod because I wanted to run a hyd cluthch & V Rod bars have a large cut out for that. Also ran all wires internal - great set up. Zero problems

This work is being done "on the side", when he has time, yes. I actually had to meet a time frame to get my bike out there, then selecting hand controls, back and forth stuff. Don't forget Sandy. I've been very pleased during this entire process.

I actually saw your thread V12 Lambo! Nice work.

Everything is stock still, everything works just fine.

If you set a time frame, and select all your options at the outset, Jeff can have your bike done in a few weeks. Much of the holdup is chrome and welding the bars. He's a very good friend of mine, helped me to rewire my 2004 (there is a thread on it here), and he's done several BDs in the area. Very meticulous, and you will never have another electrical problem. He will use your stock BD ignition but I suggest you upgrade.

Hey Moespeeds, I was hoping there would be a difference in how my Dog ran after the rewire, when you suggest upgrading the ignition are you talking about the Thunderhart? Thanks in advance!

I wish I had more money.
That is what he's talking about. You can get a programmable ignition. Not a bad idea.
