i read that i should check for a intake leak in the rear cylinder.
You are going to read right now in the penultimate and if you do not know 'how-to' read between the lines, look at me watching you chase your tail, you are still here not clearing Basic Rule #1.
There are only 3 variables to clear. Here is where I clear my throat and take a deep breath... Oh lookeya read a clue! My lungs do not breath one side on the penultimate suck. Did I suck less air into one lung, I read it on line, yes or no? Step 2 is chasing his tail not compression. ASSk me how I know?
because if there is a intake leak in the rear it would make it run lean
Which would mean hard starting. There is a balance. There is a balance of suck. My lung does not suck stronger than the other one thru my mouth/nose/ass I still breath out the orificequally.
which mean i could have just set the carb to rich trying to get the rear cylinder to run normal causing the front to run WAY rich
...
 A classic do not listen to turtle. Does the bike idle with a new plug, start right up, rips the tire off? Yes... I'm just the 5-storke messenger you missed one

List inn ning to guess who that be? Not me, the very first rule I spelt doubt 3 obnoxious times and you still do not get the sequence of the 3 variables of who is whom in the comp/fuel/spark of it.
btw the ignition is new..(well the coil, plugs and wires).
Ah, WATTizz the last thing I did to the bike? Clue #2 the OP comes forward with a spark variable. The tail CHASING begins and rule number 1 was ignored completely as far as a clear shot right between the eyes, but he goes right to the carb and does not SEE the new coils and electrics in play. A new [spark] variable, he goes chasing carb for a fouled lung.
What if I said room temp? Is part of the room or house caught in the winter, the room is that cold, the other room is in the summer time blues you have no clue what room temp is compared to equal rooms as in temp, equal suck out of one carb or the good cylinder sucks more air too. Yes or no? You just said the other plug looks perfect. How could that suck in a more ratio of air, I have a leak in my throat. What is the lung fill now we speak equal, room temp, penultimate suck?
Look at that kennel cough you running in front of your tail and it is clogging your brain not your throat. Are we on the same page, no offense, but this has got to take the cake in diagnostic running around, not a clue if it landed in front of you.
3 exposed variables and I've come full circle on this thread. Not trying to be a wiseass but if you don't see it, not my fault
