Dang,
this is a good list. Save the PM or emails like 'Hey Chris, where did you get that or get that done at?" which I am famous for!:D

Yeah I posted this I think when you were in the sandbox

I was pulling it up for another local forum and thought it was worth a bounce being we are in "wrenchin season"

Yesterday morning I woke up to this crap

sorry for the hi-jack.

Sweet!

Well, maybe not for you since you have to shovel that stuff and can't ride. Would be nice to have some snow though. Last year in cali, I hung xmas lights in shorts!

Big props to Exotic Coatings for putting out a awesome gloss super wet black powder.

The powder comes like so..

The frame, swingarm, gas cap adapter, exhaust mount, swingarm spacer, and 2 highway peg plates for the wife's sporty.

nicely wrapped

The shine

you can see they did a great job of masking everything. I will still chase every hole with a tap. The gloss is amazing! You can see the reflections in the parts and the dust on it.
brings back memories...huh Gas...:D

Custom paint on primary belt

Hey Gas
Did you remove the primary belt for painting, or was it done on the bike?
How is the paint holding up?
Any special prep or paint used?
Thanks.

The paint on the belt was done prior to the install.

Its holding up great.

I think it was cleaned down with lacquer then lead paint was used. But I didn't do it.

Thanks for the info. I am looking for somebody to do some paintwork on mine. I suspect it will be the artist's first time painting a primary belt.

Let me guess "One wipe and your done"?
That's funny. Technically, it is "One wipe and you're out." BTW, did you give the shirt to your wife? You know that is real limited edition stuff. On the primary belt, I am going to stick with the Double K Ranch theme. I think I am just going to have the logo painted on the belt. There is a custom painter in Ocala that does some bike work. I am going to check with him.
