Hey guys, I've recently seen a few of you mentioning the names of your favorite local bike shop/builder. I always try to extend an introduction to a new builder when I hear about them. I've made several lists of builders by going thru all my biker rags. But so many have closed their doors due to the shitty economy. So I'm asking all you guys to post up any cool bike shop/ builders you might know about. Some of the best builders fly under the radar, and don't have the "I've been on TV so I don't have to talk to you" mentallity. Cool people the work with, you know!
I'm always trying to get my name out there as much as I can, so please help me out!
Thanks guys!!!!

ED,

You should give your contact information to the guys at Steel Customs in INDY. They are the local BDM dealer in Indianapolis and also sell other customs as well. It doesnt seem like they do a lot of custom paint work now and if they do they are sending it to the factory. Doesnt make sense to me.

Yes, complete names, locations, and most importantly, an email address.
I sent out an email to every remaining Bigdog dealer when I got this ball rolling again. Most didn't even respond. Some remembered me right away, as I did some of their more "memorable" bikes. Alot of them that did respond simply said that they aren't selling high-end paint jobs. Just ghost flames and other generic type stuff. Easily sellable stuff.
Now that I have my website going, it might be time to send out more intros again. BTW, Knotso, that list I made was almost 20 pages of hand-written leads!

This shop was featured on Discovery biker build off and also was selected to be a part of and participated in the S&S 50th anniversary build off. They were representing the Panhead era 63 I believe.

Jeff Hill & the crew at Hill's Performance in Ney, OH. Small town shop in a VERY small town, out in the middle of nowhere in NE Ohio.

This particular bike was built about 4 - 5 years ago by them, and I wanted it SO BAD. It made its rounds at a few EASYRIDER events in the area and a couple of other bike shows. Kickstand was mounted on the right side of the bike which made it a bit different. The dude that paints for them is just a few miles away and this particular job had to be viewed in person to really appreciate the "layered look & depth" of the paint work. The shop made the frame, tins, bars, pipes, breather intake, ect.............truley a custom 1-off bike.

you can check them out at www.hillsperformance.com
