Bigger size front wheel

Has anyone changed front wheel size from a 21 by 2.125 to the wider 21 by 3.25?? The reason I ask is becuase I have the mutt and I'm sick of the wire wheels. I have the opportunity to pick up a set of wheels with the same size rear but the front is the wider 3.25 inch width. I can get a mastiff front fender that will work with the wheel but bolting it to the forks might get sketchy.

I'll have to check that out. Just worried about axel sizes and hubs.. Gotta make sure the rear pulley and rotor will line up along with the front rotor.. I can get a mastiff fender and fab up some kind of fender brackets.

I would guess that your forks are the same as the Mastiff, shouldn't there be a part number you can reference. When I look at the Mutt and the 06 Mastiff, I don't see much difference other than the front wheel.

Yes they have the same front end, only thing is the wheels came off a 2010 bulldog so the hubs might be different, that's the only thing I'm worried about. Bolting the pulley and front and rear rotors to the wheels so they line up. I can figure something out for the fender no problem.

I have a set of 06 Mastiff wheels complete with rotors, hubs, bearings and pulley. I used them about 1K and changed them out to the Demon Chrome Wheels. Let me know if your interested. Carlos

Mine came with a 21" x 3.5" wheel on it (aftermarket, but same design as the OEM "Twister" design made by PM). Absolutely love it. Still running with no front fender though- the stock fender will not fit. I also have the stock 18" front wheel / tire. Check BigDogPartsKing for blank front fenders of wider fitment (5 3/4" wide)- pretty easy to drill holes / mount up to your brackets. Search fleabay for "big dog fender".

I'm having a buddy of mine fab up a carbon fiber mini-fender- will post some pics when done. He does amazing work with carbon fiber- had him make up a center console cover for my 911 awhile back- damn it was show quality, gloss was so deep it looked 3D.
