How many levels are there for Big Dog Certified technician's, and what does each level entail?
How do we find out what our local tech is?
As far as I know, Bigdog is currently not holding any training classes. I have spoken with Will out there recently and unless they get a mess of dealers wanting to pay to send their guys out, it looks like the classes will be put on hold indefinitely. Doug Waller was one of the lead instructors out there and he no longer is with BDM. As far as Level 3 goes, the classes have not even been created yet. Richard Romero said they will start the Level 3 classes once all the Technicians have completed Level 2. There are only 6 of us in the country that have completed all the courses for Level 2. I am fortunate enough to be one of them. I completed all mine just before they stopped having them. It is too bad really, we need more trained techs out there. I know a lot of guys out there have a lot of knowledge with these bikes, but you learn a lot of things you might not have known if you had not gone threw all the courses.
Just my .02 cents

You have to complete Level 1 to move onto Level 2 and so on, so there are more Level 1's out there than 2's.
Here are some of the courses a Level 2 had to complete:
-All online testing @ dealership (basic theory, a mess of questions, can't remember the exact number, that was 3 yrs ago)
-EFI class @ BDM Training Facility (2.5 days)
-Electrical class @ BDM Training Facility (3days)
-Chassis class @ BDM Training Facility (2.5 days)
-Engine- EVO class @ BDM Training Facility (4 days)
-Transmission,clutch and Primary class @ BDM Training Facility (2 days)
-X-Wedge Motor class @ BDM Training Facility (4 days)
