big radius/mean mothers

Can anyone tell me the difference in sound between the vance and hines big radius and the supertrapp mean mothers? I am looking for a medium loud deep rumble...Any help would be appreciated!!

The V*H BRs are LOUD!!! if you want a little louder, deeper sound and more sound when you get on it, V&H BR 2-into-1 they are excellent and 2-1 pipes are the best for increasing power.

My mean Mothers are loud also. I got a ticket for the sound here is So Cal. They are still on and not coming off.

Just a vote for the old standard.! I love my stock Kerkers 2-1 pipes that came on my '04 Mastiff. I just can't see it sounding any better than it does now. Now for appearance sake, I love the look of the V&H Big Radius pipes. They have an awesome look. Once I get some spare change, I may go with the V&H BR's. The stock Kerker's without the baffles are very loud, throaty and sound like a Big Dog should sound.

I've got mean mothers on my K9 with a 124" motor and they sound excellent. They have a nice deep throaty sound.

Can't really say Agent....I bought this scoot used and the baffles were gone when I got it. I'm sure there others that might answer that for ya.!! VA-ROOOOOM..!!!

Have to agree with Old Hippy. The stock Kerker 2-1 is the bomb with the baffle out. Semi quiet when just riding around but lay into it and it's loud deep and throaty. :2thumbs:

As far as getting it out R&B did mine when I bought it new. I don't think there is that much to it though.

I think it was an option in 08, like you could get a 117 in 04.....

v&h big radius sound good. They sound great when you put in big city thunder monster baffles / cut the baffles in half /make your own baffles (I know a few on here have done that.. I'll let the chime in).

Even so, mean mothers sound better in my opinion

down sides to both pipes-
v&h big radius- pipe can scrape the ground in a tight turn.
mean mothers- bracket mount has broken for at least one member on here.

I've had mean mothers on my ridgeback for the last 5,000 miles and they are still going strong. :up:
