was cleaning the beast earlier and noticed the bracket was totally snapped in half. don't know how long it was like that either. never heard anything out of the norm (as far as vibrating). i don't fucken "bunny hop" or jump ramps either. bracket looks like 1/4" steel, so W.T.F?

as Frank Barone(Everybody Loves Raymond) would say, "Holy Crap". No seriously, I looked around the web and apparently it does happen. Call V&H and they should send you a new bracket.

call V&H... see if they will send a new one! If not just get it welded and powdercoated!

...welded and powdercoated!
Or chromed:

There was a time when BD was having some real trouble with exhaust brackets breaking - but not for quite awhile. Look at the edges of the break to see if there were fatigue cracks. (Not that that would fix it, but it might explain why it broke.)

"Made in China" Probably be a good idea to replace the exhaust gasket while you are at it.

My first one did the same after I chromed it - the third generation of V&H pipes have a redesigned bracket which, I think, lifts the pipes higher also.

seems to happen alot. When I got my pipes used the bracket was broken.
Yep, I sold them to him and didn't even notice. It's pretty common. I called V&H and gave them HOAT's address and they sent him a new one...how's that one holdin up hoat?

If you look at the original factory exhaust you will notice it has rubber mounts -- there is a good reason for this. I drilled out the new one that came with my V&H 2-1 BR and installed rubber grommets that will absorb the vibrations. I suspect this will happen to many of us over time.

Mine broke were it is welded together on both sides. Looked like they just spot welded it togeher. I had it welded and chromed.
