Big Radius baffle removal

I was just wondering if anybody has pulled the baffles out of their Big Radius exhaust? Does it sound good ... bad? Looking for opinions. Also I've just toyed around a little with them and they seem to be a pain to remove. Is there a trick to getting them out?

pull the baffles, cut them to 4.75", put them back in and go ride. don't know about the 2-1.

They sound great completely removed but you will lose performance on the low end because your removing the back pressure.

if thay havent been removed in a while or ever thay will be tough, get a slide hammer, once cut thay will come back out when needed with no problem..

That tingling sound is what I did not like as well. I left part of the stock baffle in-and ALSO the Big City QQ. Sounds fine now. Several have done this with the BR. Don't know about 2-1.

I'm running the V&H BR 2-into-2, NO baffles and love the sound. As mentioned plenty of decel pop but can be subdued by slight throttle pressure. I tried Big City Thunder baffles, removed them after two weeks, sound was just ok to me. I have modified my BR baffles but have not tired them due to the fact I love the sound of NO baffles. AS mentioned, you will lose some low end due to no backpressure.

Well I got my baffles out this weekend. The bottom pipe was pretty easy, it was the top that got hung up a little. Once they were out, they sounded amazing! I think I'll go ahead and cut em down and see what the result there is. Thanks for the info guys.

This may sound stupid, but there are 2 baffles in the Vance and Hines 2 into 1? Or bigmastiff04 do you have the 2 into 2 ?

I'll be cutting them down tomorrow. I'm gonna take woodbutcher's advice and cut to a length of 4.75". I'll let you know how it turns out.

I just happended to remove the baffles from my big radius pipes the other day to see what it sounded like at it was loud as heck. you actually have to remove the heat shield to get to the screw thats hold the baffle in. The only thing was that the sound was nice but I hate the loud garggling sound you hear when you shift and get off the gas. You probally have to re jet it I assume also..
