big radius 2-1 ??

I have a big radius 2-1 and it is pretty quiet...I know many of you have modified the baffle and even installed the bct baffle. Can you guys chime in that have done this and give me an idea how much more sound you got by doing the mods. I am afraid I am going to have to change exhausts yet again to get the sound I am looking for.

There are several different ways to change the sound, has been discussed here on several threads, if you do a search, you will find them, the easiest is to pull the baffle and drill holes in the cap on both ends.

You can modify one end or the other. Remove the glass wrap, screen, cut tack welds and remove this end (tip end) or go to the other end (engine end) cut the tack welds and remove the cone area plus the glass wrap and screen but leave the tip that you see in the pics. It's easy to pull. Pull it out for starters and see if you like it without. If its to much then start the modding of the baffle.

i pulled my whole baffel and left it out ..like the sound..lol

I could not remove my baffle, not even a little bit with vice grips and a mate pulling on it while i tapped the out side.

I got a long 7/16" drill and drilled 2 holes at TDC and BDC.
This made a noticable difference and took about 2 minutes total.

Just keep drilling holes till the desired window shattering volume is acheived.

Oh. If you had them on a while you may soak the baffle with some on blaster or something similar over night. It will help get it loose.

Then if that don't work start the bike let idle until pipe is hot....then a good ole slap hammer and it should come out....also my diclaimer be careful not to burn yourself...you get a great tattoo that will hurt at the very least....the heat has really made it alot easier....anyway my 2c...andrew (bigdogtech1) has a great mod for that baffle I did it and loved the sound and seat of the pants definitely felt better....everyone said it sounded like it was supposed to mean and loud but not too loud....and my decel pop went away...anyway goodluck...peace
