163 days till the event. June 23rd to the 25th, 2017
There are a few things we need to go over, and this is the thread to get all the info you need. So please don't trash it with excessive posting so everybody can find this stuff easily. I'll bump it each day so the new guys can find it.
At this point there are 23 rooms left. Each room has two double beds. All these rooms need to be booked or the rate will go up. They are shutting the whole place down just for us. If we exceed this, they have another building, that we can put more in, it's just more expensive.
Booking info can be found on this thread.

You guys that are thinking about tent camping, will still need to register at the front desk and give a credit card, because your meals will need to be charged to you.
After you register, you can pick up your goodie bag from our registration table, and you will need to fill out the waver sheet for Tim. It looks like this.

Right now as it looks, we should be able to fit in their conference room. The tent and tables would be $2400. If we exceed their room capacity, we'll order the tent, and take up a collection to cover it.
Remember, we are way out in the boondocks. Plan accordingly for fuel. Do you researcher before hand.
Make sure your there early, to line up for the bike show and get to met each other. We'll kick this off about 5pm, and the small details will be announced then.
Breakfast buffet, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Friday and Saturday evenings, I believe is BBQ buffet. I need to recheck that. What ever it is, just eat it, and be glad you have anything.
More to come as I think of it.

Also got to thinking about the new guys. This event is to celebrate the Big Dog Biker Forum, 10 years of being here. We will ride over to the new Big Dog plant and check on what they are doing now. I haven't talked to Matt yet, but hopefully he'll get on stage and talk to us about the future of our beloved Dogs.

With no offense to anyone why did matt Moore get to pick the location and not the members I was planning on coming but traveling almost 1500 miles to stay in a glorified hunting cabin is not my idea of a vacation and I know others agree with me. Again just a question not to be taken the wrong way
He didn't. Out of the several options we had to work with, the planning committee picked it, because of the accommodations fit what we needed. We are able to use this place, because he is a member.

I think just to add to Shannon's note. One of the main concerns was focusing on a location that it was only members so a larger resort or a more heavily populated area was more challenging to orchestrate that correctly. Finding something like that near a beach for example would probably price us all out.

Security was a concern as well

Just a side note on the gas situation. From the Lodge, gas is 15 miles one way. We will be about 5 miles back off the hiway and another 10 miles to the station.

160 days.
I just looked through the threads I posted, and I guess it doesn't say where, on those threads.
We're taking our beloved Dogs back to their breeding ground. Wichita, KS. The resort is East of there.
I post directions later.

So planing on going but don't want to ride from Texas all of the way up there solo. My buddy who usually takes trips with me doesn't ride a bid dog. Is that a problem?
