Yes, I have heard of it :lol: I contacted them and they said the following:

"The systems we made for the Iron Horse were just for them and are not the same system we make for the Harley Davidsons today. Since Iron Horse went out of business they took all there stuff and we don't have anything or the jigs to make anything."

Search for American Ironhorse parts sellers. Just like Big dog there are sill plenty of surplus parts available.

The Big dog supertrap exhausts fit the Ironhorses, D&D Ironhorse vice versa. From 2005 both The AIH and Bigdog use essentially same S&S super sidewinder motors.

You can also check the V&H 2 into 1. Look very similar to D&D. I don't know how they sound, but knowing V&H products over the years and the option of baffles in or out, they should look and sound great.

Don't like the internals of it? Neither did I, and here is what I did:



I have not tried it yet, but look forward to do so as soon as I get it all back together and mounted up.

BDM design was, is, and will always be the best in my eyes. Small subtle changes can be made to improve, but not many. Just my $0.02 worth...

That's the stock internals. I just cut it all out and a good friend of mine happens to be a certified stainless steel pipe welder so he will weld it back together without the internals. It will be different for sure, look stock but sounds good.... I'm running the big radius V&H like everybody else now but want my bike looking 99% stock, with OEM BDM accessories and a few custom parts that looks like OEM. I just like them as they where meant to look and think most mods to them make them look uglier. To each their own and this is what I want so this is the way I'm going....

I know what you mean. I put the origional supertrap back on mine. It had vh big shots on it but they did not fit right.
