Big Dog Sock Exhaust

I have a 2007 BDM Mastiff that I bought used. It came with the vince & hines
big radius exhaust. I've never seen a BDM with the stock exhaust yet.

I love mine but the scrapping part when turning right gets annoying but is it worth it comparing with the stock?

Cheers :flag:

You got the old ones.... the new ones were re-designed to be higher up... in my K9 I needed the attachments for the passenger pegs...

if you look at the K9 in the BDB header, you will see the original exhaust. straight line, over/under, definitely quieter than big radius. most have taken off the original for something more along the line of "loud pipes saves lives". given enough time, the first generation big radius pipes will wear to a point to where the pegs will drag instead of the pipes.

Get over it. The stock exhaust suck ( got a set hanging on the wall ). Grind um down with a die grinder, bench grinder, blow torch and go ride:whoop:

Have to agree with the others the stock super trap exhaust it is very reserved. You could also try an American Ironhorse oem D&D exhaust. This will fit your bike and sounds very nice. I sill have the oem D&D 2 into1 on my 08 texas chopper and would not ever think about changing it. If my mastiff didn't have the V&H I would change it for a D&D 2 into 1 one or one of those FSD short exhausts.

And as for the scraping, I have the same bike, same exhaust, same issue. I'm still scraping it in.

Just let it happen :)

The oem AIHd&D exhaust sounds interesting :2thumbs:, are you sure it will fit with no modifications? Also, who sells that exhaust today since American Ironhorse is also gone for good?

thanks :flag:
