I was a Big Dog service tech at the factory and traveled to rallies with Big Dog and did warranty work on bikes. Just wanting to know if anyone in the Wichita Ks area is needing their Big Dog serviced?

I will pass this info on to a buddy of mine in Wellington! (He has a Pro-Sport)
I live in KC, but will definitely give you a shout when I need service.

I have a prosport in Wichita, and am glad to hear there is a good local tech. Don't need anything right now, but will keep it in mind,

Thanks for being there for us. I have a question since you are a service technician. I have an 08 Mastiff and I have drained and refilled the transmission fluid. I put in 20 oz like the book stats. I put a couple of hundred miles on it and rechecked the fluid level and it was a little bit low. I refilled it and now I have a fluid leak. A 5 mile ride puts oil all over the swing arm and belt cover and just about everywhere else. I have rechecked the level and it is correct. Should I pull the drive pulley off and replace the seal? Is there a trick to doing so? Will I need a puller to take off the drive pulley? Any comments will help!

You could have over filled the tranny, that could be the reason why you have oil everywhere. I would suggest cleaning it all off, then test ride it for a few miles. If you still have a leak, it could be the seal. As for the pulley, remove the clutch cable carefully, making sure you don't knock the cable ramp loose. You will have to have a large socket to remove the nut (left hand threads). (turn backwards to loosen). As for a pulled, you won't need one. Hope this helps.
