Saw that on one of the other posting the other day. Very traggic and very upsetting. Not sure why they have not arrested the bitch that hit them by know, if for nothing else for hit and run and leaving the scene of an accident. Regardless if she was or was not drunk, she should be behind bars until she goeds to trial and if she does come back drunk, she should be charged for murder.

Since it seems that she had a DUI before, first degree if she was intoxicated for she drunk and did so knowingly that she continued to break the laws.

Condolences the familes and very sad to see two people enjoying the joys of riding only to have it snuffed out by some stupid bitch that seems to drive all juiced up while Florida allowed her to be out there to do it again.

Shooter, Here is the news story from your link:

Hillsborough County, Florida -- Two Tampa Bay area families mourned the loss of loved ones Saturday after a late night hit and run crash.

Galilee Howard, 69, and Thomas Colson, 62, were killed in the crash on U.S. Highway 41 and Universal Drive near Ruskin.

Howard was a retired mother of four.

"She was very energetic. She loved doing plants and stuff like that in the yard. She loved her kids," said her son-in-law Jimmy Pugh.

Colson, a father of two, was known to friends and family as Steve.

"He was a great guy. He'd do anything in the world for you. If he could help you out, he'd do it," said his stepfather Jim Knox.

Relatives say the two started dating about a year ago.

Colson, an avid motorcyclist, recently bought his dream bike. The couple loved to take a ride together, which is what they were doing Friday night.

The Florida Highway Patrol says a 1988 Buick Park Avenue driven by Susanne Meyers, 52, of Ruskin was traveling southbound on U.S. Hwy. 41 when it attempted to make a left onto Universal and traveled into the path of Colson and Howard's motorcycle.

Investigators say the couple weren't wearing helmets and were pronounced dead at the scene, while Meyers left and drove to her home, about a mile from the crash.

Howard's family tells 10 News detectives told them Meyers waited three hours to call and report the crash.

"She should never have done that. That's bad," Knox said.

Investigators say charges are pending against Meyers, as they wait for toxicology and other test results to come back, which they say could take several weeks to a few months.

It means two families must wait for answers.

"It's still a little shock, because everybody's still expecting her to come home," Pugh said.

Meyers was arrested in 2010 for DUI, when a report states her blood alcohol level was about twice the legal limit.

She could not be reached for comment.

Several neighbors tell 10 News Meyers was taken away by Hillsborough sheriff's deputies Saturday evening.

Deputies confirm they did Baker Act a woman from her address and took her to a local hospital
